In this position you will join the team responsible for the Hardware Security Design and Verification of Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. Your role will encompass Design and Verification activities across multiple orgs and support throughout the lifecycle of a security technology product. Your team will work at an engineering level incorporating industry best practices as well as developing security-first verification approaches. The specific role involves understanding security architecture and improving and developing verification methodologies for security specific products. Collaborate with design and architecture teams to come up with novel verification methodologies for sensitive IP’s. Incorporate pre silicon verification methodologies to detect and protect against physical and side channel attacks and enable overall verification of of the product to utmost standards.
As a member of the Hardware Security team at Qualcomm you will be responsible for creating and maintaining end to end security specific verification use cases for snapdragon processor. You will also be responsible for understanding security evaluation and work with other teams to help realize high level of certification for the chipsets.
The team is focused on providing a highest level of security to Qualcomm chipsets across all tiers. The team has a strong impact on the Qualcomm mobile system architecture.
+ Will be part of a Security IP Verification Team responsible for first pass Silicon success of security IPs such as symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic accelerator, random number generator, etc.
+ Will be responsible for writing Test Plan, developing Test Bench, Test cases.
+ Will be responsible for analyzing Code Coverage, Functional Coverage and Assertions.
+ Use industry standard tools, methodologies
+ Will work closely in a team with Design and DV engineers and architects and accomplish milestones by providing timely updates and feedback to stakeholders.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
+ 6+ yrs industry experience focused on design and/or verification, System Verilog, UVM, Native or CPU based simulations
+ Experience with design and/or verification on Cryptographic algorithms (AES,RSA etc)
+ Exposure to security concepts (public & private key cryptography, Authentication, MAC/Digital Signatures)
+ Experience developing SV testbenches from the ground up, alternative verification methodologies (SVAs, Formal, etc)
+ Experience with ARM based bus protocols (AHB, AXI) and advanced verification topics (UVM factory, Typecasting, Config DB, TLM components, etc)
+ Masters in Electrical/ Computer Engineering, Math or related field.
+ Model development is a plus (System C, C, C++)
+ Power Aware Verification is a plus
+ Understanding of side-channel, fault injection attacks and state of the art countermeasures is a plus
+ Familiarity on security evaluation processes such as NIST,FIPS and Common Criteria.

+ Strong background in OOPS concepts.

3+ years experience with Database Management Software. ,3+ years experience with Development Environment Software such as Apache Maven, Ruby, etc. ,3+ years experience with Testing Software such as Bugzilla, LoadRunner, etc. ,8+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience. ,1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). ,3+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization.
