General Summary:

This is a strategic dual role that includes executive recruitment responsibilities and oversight of Qualcomm’s integrated talent brand strategy. This dynamic position will require learning agility and an ability to shift priorities as the role evolves. The incumbent will design and drive executive talent search projects to align with key business needs, engaging external search firms as needed. This person will focus on the executive candidate experience and building relationships with internal stakeholders as a trusted talent advisor. Another critical aspect of this role involves oversight of Qualcomm’s employment brand strategies and collaboration with global Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Communication, and Marketing to elevate Qualcomm’s employee value proposition and new employee experiences.

Executive Recruiter Responsibilities

+ Design unique and robust executive search strategies to attract the best and brightest talent to Qualcomm

+ Serve as an advisor to internal stakeholders to deeply understand business strategies and talent needs for today and the future

+ Build relationships with hiring managers, coaching them on effective search strategies, compensation, interviewing and long-term engagement of passive candidates

+ Establish and manage relationships with external search firms to generate candidate leads across multiple disciplines/domains

+ Deliver executive recruitment communication including search presentation materials, job descriptions, candidate profiles, interviewer/stakeholder communication, and candidate preparation

+ Lead the offer process in collaboration with internal stakeholders; negotiate compensation packages and close executive candidates

+ Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion through every aspect of the hiring journey

+ Exhibit growth mindset and an ability to adapt to changing dynamics as needed

+ Establish best in class recruitment metrics and KPIs

Talent Brand Management Responsibilities

+ Ideate new and innovative ways to evolve Qualcomm’s talent brand strategy in a highly ambiguous space

+ Champion the brand across the organization. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive brand awareness and position Qualcomm as a global employer of choice

+ Gather, prioritize, and define requirement for program-specific campaigns using data and competitive intelligence

+ Collaborate with creative agencies to curate content, ensuring all assets and collaterals meet corporate brand guidelines

+ Create local, regional, and global campaigns that articulate differentiated employment positioning

+ Manage marketing budget for systems, tools, and resources to support Talent brand

Competencies/Technical/Functional Skills

+ Developing and redesigning organizational strategies and providing overall direction for various functional areas. Has influence over the formulation and achievement of long-term business plans and objectives.

+ Comprehensive understanding of business models, lines of business, products, technologies, competitors, and legal factors to coach hiring leaders and develop and execute global TA strategies and programs.

+ Excellent project management skills, with the ability to design creative strategies, influence stakeholders, and deliver significant impact as a talent leader

+ Proven track record in executive recruitment and hiring best-in-class diverse technical and functional leaders

+ Experience building talent pipelines and cultivating long-term relationships with candidates and clients in a global business environment

+ Deep knowledge of the external talent environment, market trends, competitors, and talent brand management

+ Exceptional collaboration skills; confidence working autonomously

+ High business acumen & strong communication skills; ability to present data and its implications in a clear, concise manner. Role may require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents.

+ Making decisions that are significant in impact, influencing overall program or project success, finances, and/or the ability to meet objectives; errors are not readily apparent due to the complexity of work process/product or time between decisions and results; errors typically result in significant expenditure of time, resources, and funds to correct.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

+ 10 years of experience in Executive Recruiting/Talent Acquisition Branding

+ Experience building and cultivating relationships in a global business environment

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Human Resources, Humanities, Psychology, or related field.

+ 12+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in the technology industry.

+ 7+ years of work experience in one or more of the following areas: ATS (i.e., Workday), labor and employment relations, interviewing, compensation, benefits, sourcing, talent acquisition metrics, program management, and designing and implementing process improvements, and strategic workforce planning.

+ 7+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above)

+ 7+ years of work experience in a leadership role leading subfunctions within an organization and being responsible for operating plans.

+ 9+ years of work experience in a global, matrixed organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

+ Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.

+ Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.

+ Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
