WHAT YOU WILL DO: This position is responsible for providing professional and friendly clerical and administrative support in a fast-paced, high volume lobby to ensure that services are provided in an effective and efficient manner, to support the mission of Interfaith Community Services.

·         Receives, directs and relays incoming calls, message and faxes

·         Answers all incoming calls and handles inquiries in a professional and supportive manner

·         Re-directs calls as appropriate and takes adequate messages when required

·         Greets, assists and directs clients, residents, and visitors with a smile and in a positive manner; directing individuals to the appropriate staff member

·         Maintains vigilance and awareness of all activity in the lobby area to ensure client and staff safety

·         Maintains an accurate filing system for client files and all general correspondence

·         Performs data entry, to include verifying information and resolving discrepancies, in a timely and accurate manner

·         Enters client information into databases accurately and proficiently

·         Restricts entry into the reception area to authorized staff and individuals

·         Provides administrative support to all staff and programs as requested

·         Sorts and distributes client mail

·         Provides oversight to the client computer lab

·         Other duties as assigned by supervisor



·         1+ year of relevant work experience required

·         Experience with multi-line phone system and high volume of calls and visitor traffic preferred

·         Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
