Company:Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.

Job Area:Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Analog Mixed Signal Design

Job Overview:

Qualcomm is a company of inventors that unlocked 5G ushering in an age of rapid acceleration in connectivity and new possibilities that will transform industries, create jobs, and enrich lives. But this is just the beginning. It takes inventive minds with diverse skills, backgrounds, and cultures to transform 5Gs potential into world-changing technologies and products. This is the Invention Age – and this is where you come in.

Qualcomm is the world leader in wireless chipsets powering the majority of 4G and 5G devices, the largest fabless semiconductor in the world, and is widely regarded as one of the most employee friendly companies in the high-tech marketplace. Qualcomm’s Analog and Mixed-Signal Team (AMS) designs analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for baseband SOCs, RF transceiver ICs for a variety of smart phones, smart books and other wireless consumer electronic devices. These designs include analog circuits and systems containing data converters (ADCs/DACs), timing circuits like Phase Lock Loops(PLLs), analog filters, low drop out linear voltage regulators, precision references, comparators and high speed SERDES and DDR PHY design techniques such as CTLE, DFE, pre-emphasis and CDR.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Apply your analog/mixed-signal design and verification expertise to the development of mobile communication systems and wired peripherals. Circuits of interest are: ADCs, DACs, PLLs, high speed SERDES, DDR PHYs , continuous time and switched-cap filters, voltage regulators and precision references. Low voltage and low power CMOS design techniques in nanometer technologies are emphasized. Candidate is also expected to perform analog and mixed-signal layout, modeling and verification tasks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years experience with analog or mixed-signal integrated circuit design in nanometer planar CMOS or FinFET.

· 2+ years of experience using one or more design tools (e.g., CADENCE, SPICE, MATLAB, and/or Verilog/VHDL).

Physical Requirements

· Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.

· Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
