Qualcomm’s Power Management IC design team is currently seeking candidates for a position involving the application of common analog mixed-signal practices to verify mixed-signal ICs. This role will provide the ability to directly influence design related changes as required to meet functional specifications. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the pre-silicon functional verification of state-of-the-art power management ICs.
+ Take ownership of pre-silicon functional verification of subsystems and/or complete chips.
+ Determine whether anomalous symptoms are caused by errors in the specifications, models, testbench, or design.
+ Write verification plans.
+ Extract modeling specifications from designers.
+ Write and maintain behavioral models and testbenches in Verilog and VerilogAMS.
+ Hold verification reviews.
+ Support integration of composite models into larger composite models maintained by other groups.
The ideal candidate would also possess a Master’s degree and an analog modeling background.
Physical Requirements• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
Masters – Electrical Engineering
2+ years experience using one or more of the following design tools: CADENCE, SPICE, MATLAB, Verilog/VHDL, 5+ years analog or mixed-signal integrated circuit design experience, 5+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.

3+ years of experience in analog or mixed-signal integrated circuit design experience with Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with internship or publication,6+ years of experience in transistor level design of analog or mixed-signal integrated circuits with a master’s degree in Electrical Engineer,6+ years experience in one or more of the following areas: Power Electronics, Control Theory, Precision Oscillators, High Accuracy Data Converters and Analog Front Ends, High Bandwidth Linear Amplifiers, Very Low Power References, Electro-Migration and Transistor Reliability, Behavioral Modeling, or UVI Techniques ,1+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,1+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).
