The Principal/Manager would oversee the continuous improvement of Qualcomm’s current RFFE technologies with our partners. Individual will also be responsible to work closely with the RFFE design teams, product teams, and technology partners to define and develop key technologies to keep Qualcomm’s leadership in RFFE performance.The individual is expected to lead a team of 5 to 10 individuals to develop new processes and technologies that continue Qualcomm’s leadership in RFFE products.The candidate will leverage excellent knowledge of fab processes, technologies currently in research and development and their applications to RF and RFFE products as well as to drive their design, development, and deployment.Individual will be the Point of Contact for technology partners, product, and design teams working on future products to ensure Qualcomm’s future RFFE technology needs are met. The candidate will carry out reviews and assessments of developing processes and technologies, provide feedback, and identify process improvements and follow up with internal teams as needed to ensure the technologies will meet product and design team’s needs. Additional responsibilities include:• Influence internal stakeholders with actionable data to ensure gaps to expectations are closed in a timely fashion. In addition, individual will be required to work with design teams to meet and exceed their technical requirements and plan technical roadmaps including future breakthrough technologies.• Establish and maintain healthy relationships with the product and design teams throughout the organization to influence and enhance decision making.• Review and approve key documentation: issues, requirements, and developments.Preferred Qualifications:• Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering• 7-10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with responsibility for leading and working with process and technology development.• Hands-on experience with developing processes.• Has knowledge of new technology development and qualification.• Has led assessments of different processes and is comfortable with reporting metrics.• Strong structured problem-solving capability and ability to work with teams on root cause analyses. Ex: 8D• High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.• Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills• Data based decision making with ability to rapidly establish a clear path forward in ambiguous situations
• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to Â½ mile.
• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
