GENERAL SUMMARY

Develops, implements and improves processes, methods, time standards, capacity plans, operation sequence, equipment, tools, and production line layouts in the manufacture of parts and assemblies. Collaborates with design engineering to improve product designs for manufacturing. Creates and maintains documentation and reporting systems for manufacturing activities. The responsibilities of this role include:• Working under some supervision.• Making decisions that are moderate in impact; errors may have relatively minor financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships; errors may require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct. • Using verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. May require basic negotiation and influence, cooperation, tact, and diplomacy, etc. • Having a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to provide input on key decisions).• Completing tasks with multiple steps that can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.• Exercising creativity to draft original documents, imagery, or work products within established guidelines.• Using deductive and inductive problem solving; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or incomplete; intermediate data analysis/interpretation skills may be required.• May be solicited during strategic planning period.The responsibilities of this role do not include: • Financial accountability (e.g., does not involve budgeting responsibility).PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provides Design for Manufacturing (DFM) input to product design teams during engineering development to meet product cost, quality, and reliability requirements; applies knowledge of a moderate variety of part or assembly types, and some DFM techniques.• Conducts prototyping and experiments to evaluate manufacturability and feasibility of new product designs or technology. Analyzes results and works with project team to provide recommendations for product designs, technology capability, and equipment requirements.• Leads the creation of new production lines for a moderate variety of assembly types or within a specialized field. Designs and optimizes factory or production line layouts, process flows, and work station layouts.• Establishes and optimizes new processes and assembly methods based on sound knowledge of ergonomics, human factors, industry best practices, or equipment capability. Demonstrates capability of specifying, evaluating, recommending, and implementing a moderate variety of complex equipment, tools, and fixtures.• Understands and applies knowledge of time standards and capacity modeling. May create or use models to forecast production output or resource requirements. May be involved with product costing or influence make-buy decisions.• Creates procedures, process specifications, and work instructions. Understands the usage and capabilities of most IT systems within manufacturing and may request or specify new requirements.• Implements process improvements by applying a variety of techniques (i.e., Six Sigma, LEAN) to improve process capability, cost, and quality.• Participates in the selection and/or bring-up of suppliers and/or contract manufacturers to produce parts and/or assemblies.

Job Overview

– This position will work on PMIC supply line.

– Responsibilities include validation and debug of new products functionality, support foundry / assembly house on capacity expansion, reliability assessment, test house management, test probe card, load board and tester validation on performance over process and operating condition, debug and release test program into mass production.

– Working with suppliers to improve in testing quality, OEE, and yield from NPI to high volume manufacturing, enabling new technologies as appropriate.

– Support production such as lot disposition & low yield analysis/debug.

Minimum Qualifications

– 3+ years’ experience with ATE test platforms, especial familiarity with Teradyne UltraFlex or IFLEX test system.- 3+ years supplier management experience.

– Good understanding of VLSI test techniques.- Basic understanding of PMIC/Digital/Analog functional block and electronic circuits.

– Basic data analysis skills.

– Fluent in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written.- Proactive working attitude.

– Capable to handle new challenge.

Preferred Qualifications

– Good experience with yield management software (O+ or dataPower)

– Understand yield management, continuous improvement and cost reduction in a high volume fabless semiconductor environment.

– Understand test house working flow, wafer buy model, turnkey model, supply chain KPI.

– Basic knowledge of design for test, design for manufacturing, design for experiment.

– Basic knowledge of reliability test, quality concept and RMA process.

– Basic knowledge of foundry process, assembly process, and failure analysis.

Education Requirements

Preferred Master’s or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related discipline. Good Bachelor candidate with wide spectrum can be considered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

+ Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.

+ Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 10 lbs.

+ Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).

+ Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.

+ Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
