Position Description:

The Vice President of Administration will play an integral role in overseeing diverse and strategically important corporate functions and positioning those functions for growth as SNG expands.  The three key functional areas of focus today are IT, corporate operations and marketing/communications, which are each in varying stages of maturity.  The VP of Administration will provide strategic management and visionary leadership to ensure operational excellence and efficiency. The VP of Administration will be a leader responsible for overseeing, executing and following through on initiatives in each of the above areas or others that are strategically important for the organization. As an SNG Leader, the VP of Administration will collaborate with fellow SNG leadership team members in strategic planning, policy development, priority setting, and decision making. This position will require a balance of strategic vision and attention to detail, combined with a “can do” attitude and a willingness to “get your hands dirty” when necessary.  This person will champion SNG’s growth strategies as well as SNG’s core values. The ideal candidate will be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to think strategically with a bias for action and execution.

Lead corporate operations functions, including optimizing workflows for efficiency; growing key talent; leveraging technology; designing processes and projects that scale effectively
Design and implement a business strategy for Corporate Operations that centers on supporting and enabling the rapid growth of SNG while balancing efficiency and quality
Improve existing processes in a collaborative manner, ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders is consistently achieved
Focus on identifying and collecting data on key performance metrics that help move the organization forward
Oversee the IT team for evaluation of operations and risk, new technology/system upgrades, policies and procedures to support SNG’s mission and values and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Ensure successful achievement of short term goals, such as strategic IT certifications, and long term goals related to maturation of IT infrastructure, data management and support
Serve as a value-added member of the leadership team to support strategic decision-making and support high-priority initiatives as necessary
Develop a strategy and plan for corporate marketing and communications that leverages the initial work done to date and identifies specific resource needs (including leveraging the talents of our existing team members)
Manage Corporate Operations team members, providing near and long-term mentoring and building a cohesive team. This will include performance planning, and setting objectives and key results for each employee, team, and function
Champion a customer-service mindset within the Corporate Operations team
Establish and maintain an environment that reflects strong relationships with stakeholders, employees, and internal customers
Use very strong communication skills to identify and fill gaps, address issues, and execute core strategy in concert with senior leadership. Work as an effective communicator and collaborator with whom people want to work


Proven track record of leading operational management, building cohesive teams, fostering collaboration, driving successful results and strategic decisions, and leveraging technology
Proven experience working successfully within an organization experiencing rapid growth
Solid understanding of business functions and how the specific functions of IT, marketing, and corporate operations function as enablers for organizational success
Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and connections, and build long term relationships based on trust and respect
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and strategic management skills, including successfully partnering with key stakeholders and managing expectations, and creatively thinking through solutions
Superior verbal and written communication, public speaking and presentation skills as well as effective active listening ability
Minimum of ten years’ management experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or relevant field
