As a SOC Test and Characterization Engineer, you will work with SoC design and verification engineers, Product test engineers and System validation engineers to develop test requirements, implement the design and perform post-silicon test with the end goal of driving towards successful commercial sampling of our high performance products.
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Work with chip architect to understand architecture concept and high level requirements
+ Convert chip spec to silicon qualification and test requirements
+ Develop post-silicon test plan for the key subsystems of the SoC
+ Collaborate with the Design Verification team to deliver test vectors to product test teams.
+ Interface with bring up, firmware and product test teams to enable successful commercialization of the product
+ Develop test content as needed for the multiple test platforms
+ Develop and execute calibration/characterization strategy for power management estimators and sensors
+ BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of practical experience or MS degree in Electrical Engineering; 10 years of practical experience
+ Strong fundamentals in digital ASIC design; experience using Verilog or VHDL
+ Experience with silicon test and characterization flows with ATE and/or SLT platforms
+ Experience with design and validation of digital and mixed-signal designs
+ Experience in speed path testing using structural and functional test vectors
+ Experience in the generation of test vectors for characterization of analog and mixed-signal IPs
+ Experience in correlation of simulation and test data from multiple silicon platforms
+ Strong understanding of peak power management methodologies
+ Domain knowledge in one or more of these areas is a plus: CPU, DRAM interfaces, high speed Serdes, Sensors, PLLs
+ Strong expertise in scripting using Python or similar tools.
+ Frequently transports and install equipment up to 5 lbs.
+ Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g. standing or sitting).
+ Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
+ Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
