General Summary

Researches, designs, develops, and tests operating systems-level software and/or hardware. Designs and coordinates complex engineering projects at the system level. Performs functional decomposition to drive requirements and specifications to both hardware and software. Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Ensures system-level performance and power metrics are met. Drives triage of problems at the system level to determine root cause. Key responsibilities of the Job include:Performance, Power and Thermal analysis on SoC across multiple workloads involving CPU, GPU, DDR, AI and Memory Controller HW blocksIdentify bottlenecks for performance and power. Correlate Silicon results with modeling projections and root-cause the source of discrepanciesConduct thermal analysis across workloads on Mobile SoCs. Key responsibilities of the Job include:

+ Performance, Power and Thermal analysis on SoC across multiple workloads involving CPU, GPU, DDR, AI and Memory Controller HW blocks

+ Identify bottlenecks for performance and power. Correlate Silicon results with modeling projections and root-cause the source of discrepancies

+ Conduct thermal analysis across workloads on Mobile SoCs. Characterize the impact of leakage and Dynamic power to performance within a constrained form-factor

+ Deep-dive into Thermal, Power and Performance issues and recommend optimal parameters for next-generation SoCs: System Cache size and allocation, CPU to DDR latency constraints, CPU Cache/TLB sizing, etc

+ Be able to enable CPU, GPU and Memory benchmark workloads on Android OS

+ Identify areas of Performance optimization in the SoC in both Software and Hardware architectures.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 5+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.

+ Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

+ Good knowledge of Computer and Memory Architecture Concepts

+ Knowledge of low power embedded systems and thermal concepts

+ Knowledge of Linux Kernel Programming and ability to make changes to clock frequencies, HW settings for key IP blocks (Processor, Bus/Memory Controller)

+ Proficient in Embedded Systems Programming in C, C+

+ Additional Preferred Qualifications:

+ Familiarity with ARM based SoCs and tools (Trace32)

2+ years experience with Development Environment Software such as Apache Maven, Ruby, etc. ,4+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience ,1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). ,2+ years experience with Testing Software such as Bugzilla, LoadRunner, etc. ,2+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,2+ years experience with Database Management Software.
