General Summary

Job Description:Drive Silicon and Software IP Procurement from select 3rd Party vendors for growing product portfolio with goals to improve product quality, engineering productivity, schedule predictability, and cost efficiency.Collaborate with Product Management, engineering and design teams to explore 3rd Party Silicon and SW IP requirements, vendor selection, develop innovative licensing models, perform ROI analysis, and recommend make vs. buy decision.Experience in negotiating business terms and to read, edit and write contracts working with internal cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, finance and legal).Manage vendor IP Support, Delivery Schedules, and quality; and to nurture trust-based strategic relationship with key partners to bring more value to Qualcomm.Additional Skills:Innovative in developing business model and analytical skills in making sound recommendation based on benchmark data and business assessment.An effective team player and executor to drive a successful procurement in balance of cost, value, risk, and timing. Experience working successfully in a matrix-oriented environment is essential.Must have effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Minimum Qualifications:5+ years Sourcing or related work experience.
