The Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) a sovereign tribe is looking for a Behavioral Health Counselor to provide general mental health counseling to Native Americans at our new state-of-the-art River People Health Center (RPHC) in Scottsdale, Arizona. The ideal candidate would have experience in substance use treatment and interest in working with adults and their families across the substance use continuum of care including individual & family counseling, standard outpatient group (SOP), intensive outpatient group (IOP) and coordination to higher levels of care such as withdrawal management, partial hospitalization (PHP), and residential care (RTC).
Using your patience and empathy in an understanding way, you will provide intake, assessment, evaluation and treatment and deliver individual, group and family counseling to help our clients are progressing satisfactorily and treatments and interventions are done in compliance with Program, Division and Department procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Social Work or closely related area.
Licensure: Has at least one (1) of the following licenses to practice in Arizona:Associate Counselor (LAC) or Professional Counselor (LPC);
Associate Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW);
Associate Marriage and Family Counselor (LAMFT) or LMFT
Experience: At least one (1) year of direct counseling experience
