The Suquamish Tribe seeks a Community Health Representative (CHR) Supervisor.  The Community Health Supervisor will perform a wide range of tasks related to assisting tribal members and their dependent family members and other native families on and adjacent to the Port Madison Indian Reservation with health services and access of all resources available relating to health.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

Understand community, tribal, county and state health resources and maintain positive relations with these resources

Develop and maintain effective working relationship with Suquamish Tribal Member Clients and Families.

Basic knowledge of tribal health care programs and systems

Effective oral and written communication skills

Proven ability to handle crisis situations and respond calmly to emergencies or conflict

Have good knowledge of Indian Country and ability to work in a culturally diverse community and environment.

Demonstrate personal and professional self-care skills

Ability to work evenings and weekends


First-aid Certification

Annual HIPAA Training required

Have or be able to obtain a food handlers card

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Prefer at least one year experience in the health care field


State/Federal/Tribal Background check required

Valid WA State Driver’s License required

Pre-Employment drug testing required

Native American preference
