Overview

The Suquamish Tribe is recruiting for a Court Clerk for the Tribal Court.  The incumbent will be responsible for the efficient running of the Court and the creation and maintenance of its record keeping and accounting systems.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.

Ability and willingness to respect the rights and confidentiality of all individuals who come in contact with the Court.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in working in a stressful environment while maintaining discretion, professionalism, and client confidentiality.

Demonstrated administrative and professional organizational skills and willingness and ability to meet performance criteria on a daily basis.

Experience in creating and maintaining legal forms.

Understanding of legal systems, client confidentiality, and procedural due process.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED and some community college or other experience or training, including legal or paralegal training or experience.

Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with computer software programs including Microsoft Office and Justware program a plus.

State/Tribal/Federal Criminal Background check required

Valid WA State Driver’s License required

Pre-Employment drug testing required

Native preference
