The Suquamish Tribe is seeking a Housing Maintenance Assistant for the Department of Community Development.  The incumbent will assist the Housing Maintenance Manager for the Suquamish Housing Program. This will include heavy lifting and general maintenance tasks and other duties as assigned.

Major Responsibilities & Duties:

Responsible for maintaining housing development roads and outlying areas
Responsible for maintaining lawns and garbage for elders housing
Responsible for assisting the housing maintenance manager in various tasks

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to lift 50lbs. over head
Ability to operate various lawn equipment
Ability to operate various power tools
Knowledge of Indian Country


High School Diploma or equivalent
At least some knowledge of the maintenance field
Job Conditions:

Work in an ever changing environment; however there may be some heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time.  The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts, which require normal safety precautions.

State/Tribal/Federal background check required

Valid WA State driver’s license required

Pre-employment drug screening required
