Overview

The Suquamish Tribe is recruiting for a Director for the Human Services Department.  The Social Services Director has full responsibility for planning, directing, and administering all social service related programs provided by the Tribe.  The Director plans, organizes and monitors department operations, functions, and activities, services activities, services and staff.  The Director is responsible for program management and on-going community relations.  The Director participates in the overall planning, development and implementation of the Tribe’s short and long term goals as they relate to the special social service needs of the Tribal community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from a four year college or university with a degree in public health administration, public administration, social work, or related field.

Minimum of five years in program administration or management in  a social service or human resource or health care delivery system with over fifteen programs and a budget in excess of 1 million dollars.

Possession of valid Washington State Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within one month of date of employment.

Indian Preference.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master’s of Social Work or Social Welfare is highly desired.

Valid WA State Driver’s License required

Pre-Employment drug testing required

Native American preference
