Summary
The Audit Inspector conducts casino gaming operational audits, observations, and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as they apply to all Departments of the Class lI and Class lII gaming facility(s).
Prepare reports on exceptions noted during audits, observation and reviews to ensure compliance with the Suquamish Tribal Gaming Ordinance, Internal Controls, NIGC-MICS, and Tribal/State Compact. Reviews and reconciles daily cash drop reports and game summary reports. Investigates cash variances discovered during the reconciliations process. Reviews casino operations Internal Controls submitted for approval. Provides oversight and inspection of the Tribal Lottery System consistent with all applicable tribal, state, and federal requirements. Provides accounts payable support for the department.

Your Education / Experience

· High school Diploma or equivalent some college (preferred)

· At least one year of regulatory gaming experience

· Completion of WSGC New Agent Training Course

Your Responsibilities

· Conduct audits, including reviews, and systems tests to ensure compliance by all departments and vendors associated with Class II and Class III gaming.

· Prepare Audit, findings, recommendations, and violations based on exceptions noted during reviews and observations.

· Certifies all Class III & Class II slot games and electronic table games to include associated equipment prior to going live utilizing complex checklists and department procedures.

· Conduct review(s) of Internal Controls comparing the gaming operations written processes to the regulatory standards insuring compliance prior to submittal to the Suquamish Tribal Gaming Commission.

· Work with State and Federal Gaming Agents on any and all regulatory issues.

· Must act in accordance with the Suquamish Tribal Employee Handbook

· Must act in a professional manner at all times when it comes to dealing with other Tribal Employees, STGC Employees and outside contacts.

· Must hold information “confidential” at all times.

· Must have good work ethics and good work attendance.

· Report writing experience the ability to write detailed, clearly defined, comprehensive audits, findings, recommendations, and violations based on regulatory standards.

· Auditing skills the ability to work independently on complex audits including the use of checklists, federal, state and tribal regulations.

· Tribal Lottery System be able to certify components, applications, computer functionality, and networking based on state compact standards.

· Internal Controls the ability to review and interpret the content of the Internal Controls. Insuring they meet the regulatory requirements providing substantive comments to correct deficiencies.

· Knowledge of lndian Gaming Regulatory Act, National Indian Gaming Commission Regulations, Minimum Internal Control Standards, Tribal-State Compact and Ordinance as well as understanding of legal concepts and process, legal interpretation and understanding, and Washington State Codes related to Gambling Violations.

Qualifications You’ll Bring

· Computer application skills required such as Word, Excel, and Power Point

· Excellent working knowledge of but not limited to the Tribal Lottery System, Keno, Table Games, and Poker and Internal Controls as they relate to the Tribal/State Compact and NIGC MICs.

· Ability to apply basic math skills to gaming environment.

· Working knowledge of Casino accounting principles.

· Ability to independently interpret regulatory standards and measure them against the gaming operations processes

· Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

· Ability to work independently and/or with little or no supervision on complex issues that could have a major effect on casino polices and processes.

· The ability through verbal communications skills utilizing courtesy, tact and diplomacy to explain complex regulatory guidance to the gaming operation personnel, federal, state, and Suquamish Regulators.

· Stressful and demanding due to nature of gaming related issues with which you work, the inter-agency/program communication and coordination, and the level of confidentiality that must be upheld.

· The conditions of the job also require creative problem solving under stressful or crisis conditions.

· Wide diversity of work situations includes working in numerous environments including, office, and in the gaming facility.

· Exposure to second hand smoke.

· Interpersonal Contacts with Washington State Gambling Commission Agents, Federal & State Law Enforcement, Federal Gaming Regulators, Port Madison Enterprises Management and Staff, and TGA Staff

Requirements
