The School of Business at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Management with a primary teaching and scholarship emphasis in Business Strategy/Business Policy/Strategic Planning to start Fall 2021.
The successful candidate will be required to assist the Director of Undergraduate advisement in Centralized Advising initiatives. Rank is Assistant Professor. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Potential for, or evidence of, successful teaching is required. The successful candidate will deliver undergraduate and MBA classes in Business Strategy/Business Policy/Strategic Planning. Additional speciﬁc course assignment will be based on strengths of the faculty member as well as department need.
The standard teaching load is 3 courses per semester; delivery will be on campus and online depending on department needs. Opportunities for Summer teaching are available.
Potential for, or evidence of, ongoing publication in peer-reviewed journals is required. A primary scholarship emphasis on Business Strategy/Business Policy/Strategic Planning as well as related Management topics is required. Ongoing peer-reviewed publication is required to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) status, and for tenure and promotion consideration.
Service to the University/School/Department (including student advisement) as well as the profession and the broader community is required, as are organizational citizenship behaviors for the betterment of the university and key stakeholders.
Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: The successful candidate must hold a doctoral degree in Management or a Management-focused doctoral degree in Business Administration or a closely related ﬁeld with a primary emphasis on Business Strategy/Business Policy/Strategic Planning, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution and meet the Schools requirements for Scholarly Academic status (SA). Demonstrated extensive experience in EAB Student Success Collaborative is required.
