Overview

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Extension Agriculture Educator. This position is in Fallon, NV, at the Churchill County Extension Office and reports to the Northern Extension Area Director.

The Agriculture Educator’s primary role is to advance agricultural production in Nevada by teaching producers innovative, sustainable solutions to agriculture issues. The successful candidate will develop creative hands-on public events and demonstrations of agricultural practices in Churchill, Mineral, and Pershing Counties to expand their knowledge, growth, and engagement in Nevada Agriculture. This position requires working effectively with diverse cultural and community interests and developing and maintaining solid working relationships. A benefit and joy of Extension work is engaging in improving communities and individuals’ lives in Nevada. This position will report to the Northern Area Extension Director.
