Pay: $16.28-$19.78 Hourly
Job Type: Part-Time; 10-15 hours per week
Education Level: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade, GED, or higher level degree.

The Maidu Museum & Historic Site is a Native American museum that focuses on the history, culture, and arts of the Maidu people. The Maidu Museum is excited to be accepting applications for a part time position for an Interpretive Assistant. This position will be assisting in museum operations, front desk and visitor services, and education activities.
We are looking for someone who:
· Provides excellent customer service to museum visitors at the Front Desk, over the phone, and through email.
· Leads interpretive and educational programs, including tours for school children, specialty classes, and summer camps.
· Helps with Gift Shop sales, restocking inventory, and organizing stock.
· Has an interest in history, anthropology, archaeology, Native American culture and history and natural science.
