Senate Bill (SB) 1, the Road Recovery and Accountability Act of 2017, invests $54 billion over the next decade to fix roads, freeways, and bridges in communities across California and puts more dollars towards transit and safety.  Under the general direction of the Supervising Transportation Engineer (Caltrans SB 1 Project and Portfolio Manager), the Senior Transportation Engineer (SB 1 Program Senior Engineer) is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving SB 1 Program guidance, policies, and business processes/procedures. The incumbent disseminates accurate information in support of the successful development and delivery of SB 1 programs. The SB I Program Senior Engineer works collaboratively with others to develop performance standards and measures, and to manage and deliver the SB 1 program effectively, while improving transparency, efficiency and accountability. The incumbent coordinates with internal and external stakeholders and provides guidance, tools, and technical assistance to Districts.
