Summary
The Medical Assistant will work working closely with a multidisciplinary team in a Family Practice Clinic serving adult,
pediatric, and prenatal patients providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare assistance for patients and patients
families. Under the delegation of a licensed practitioner the Medical Assistant will assist providing patient care for
complex medical conditions including Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT). There will be a daily variety of both
routine and complex professional tasks that require high level organizational skills, critical thinking, and exceptional
patient care experience. The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and effectively react to patient
emergencies is critical.
Your Education / Experience
• 1–3 years of experience as a medical assistant (preferred, depending on level).
• Current state RMA or CMA license.
• Current CPR certificate.
Your Responsibilities
• Assist providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments as needed.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other patient information.
• Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and diagnostic tests.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, specimen collection, and screenings.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
• Provide patient education, instructions, and guidance as directed by providers.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of clinical areas, equipment, and supplies.
• Monitor inventory and communication supply needs to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols.
• Assist with clerical tasks including answering phones, scheduling, and patient check-in/check-out.
• Participate in ongoing training, orientation, and competency verification as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You’ll Bring

• Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Ability to provide patient education and guidance effectively.
• Knowledge of healthcare protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Provides direct clinical and administrative support to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures, preparing and maintaining exam rooms, recording
patient histories, performing routine clinical tasks, and supporting day-to-day clinic operations.
• Help with patient scheduling, documentation, and coordination of supplies, working closely with the care team to
maintain smooth clinical operations.

What to Expect
• Work is performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff, patients, and the public. Work
may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
• Work may require hand dexterity for office machine operation, stooping and bending to files and supplies, mobility
to complete errands or deliveries, or sitting for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity for using a calculator or
computer keyboard.
