Associated Builders & Contractors of San Diego

The San Diego Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Apprenticeship Program is a state and federally recognized construction training program. What makes apprenticeship unique is that it combines paid on-the-job training and work experience with formal classroom instruction. You are employed by a company where you receive hands-on training and attend class, typically at night, to receive your theory and technical training. All classes are affiliated with San Diego Community College. You receive college credits while training and tuition is free for apprentices. Apprentices receive regular pay increases as they advance through the three to five-year program, and family medical and dental benefits are provided as well. After successfully completing this program, you’ll enter the work force as a state and federally recognized craftsperson in your chosen field. ABC offers Apprenticeship Programs in; Electrical, Electronic Systems Technician (Sound Technician), Sheet Metal / HVAC, Plumbing and Pipefitting.
