Opened in 1983, Sycuan Casino is operated by the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation and holds the distinction of being the first Native American gaming operation in San Diego County. Just a 30-minute drive from downtown San Diego, Sycuan Casino is a Las Vegas-style casino, with 2,000 reel and video slot machines, over 40 gaming tables, 19 poker tables, a 800-seat bingo pavilion, 5 restaurants and headliner entertainment inside Sycuan’s intimate 457-seat entertainment venue – Sycuan Live & Up Close. Non-smokers can enjoy more than 300 slots and table games in the comfort of San Diego’s first and largest fully-enclosed non-smoking room – complete with its own separate entrance.

Building upon the success of Sycuan Casino, and to further realize its goal of self reliance and diversification, the Tribe established the Sycuan Tribal Development Corporation (STDC). STDC’s first acquisition was the Singing Hills golf and tennis resort (now Sycuan Resort). Since then, STDC has gone on to purchase and restore the historic U.S. Grant hotel in downtown San Diego and develop the Best Western Marina Gateway hotel/retail project in National City. In addition to its business enterprises, Sycuan demonstrates its strong commitment to the San Diego region through its support of civic and charitable organizations.

While The Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation is building a reputation for an unmatched commitment to our customers and our community, we know that without a strong commitment to our team members, reaching our goals would be impossible. Sycuan offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental and life insurance, paid time off, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of professional development and advancement opportunities.
